Hometown Fun!

 Bass Bowl III

Friday October 26th was the big Bass Bowl football game between Kelseyville High and Clear Lake High. I attended this fun event to support the schools and see who the trophy was going home with. There were so many people attending and I had a great time rooting on the teams!

Clear Lake High School walked away with the trophy for a second year in a row and the next day, the CLHS cheer team came home with two trophy's from a state cheer competition.
Congratulations to CLHS on your big winning weekend!

Lakeport Speedway

On Saturday night I attended the last night of racing for the season at Lakeport Speedway. I received the chance to sing the National Anthem for the opening of the races. I'm always so happy to perform there because everyone is so sweet and supportive at our local speedway.

I started off getting a ride in the Cadillac equipped with shooting flames that is in all our local parades. Pat the driver was so silly and told lots of jokes.

After I got to the front of the crowd, the announcer read a short bio of who I am and what I do. It was fun to hear the crowd cheer me on before I even started!

After performing the National Anthem, I was honored with the Makenna Rose Enger National Anthem Award of Appreciation. I'm so blessed to live in such a kind and supportive community!

I had so much fun signing autographs for children and taking lots of pictures. Overall, it was a very rewarding night.

I even got to watch the boat races! For those of you that are not familiar with the boat races at the Lakeport Speedway, it's a hilarious high energy demolition race. The track is watered and soaped up before the race. Vehicles with old boats attached are lined up on the track and told to race and destroy other peoples boats. There are crashes among the vehicles and boat debris everywhere at the end. It's a lot of fun!
